 Come inside the House in the Woods and listen to this story. I was born and bred in a hotel. Both my grandmother Corinna and my father Giancarlo were hoteliers and all my working life has been spent in the hotel business, always trying to make things better. Hotel Panda is the new experience that I would like to off er you: this is accessible luxury, not the extravagant or showy kind consisting of objects, but the luxury of refi ned, elegant detail. The luxury of waking up to marvellous mountain scenery each morning: the majestic peaks of Tofana de Rozes, Becco di Mezzodì, Cristallo and Faloria. The luxury of wood, plentifully used in all mountain houses but here there is a touch of irony: the furniture is made from old cognac casks, originally from Spain, cleverly combined with the traditional “bujes” designs of old Ampezzan haylofts.
